Unitherm performed the mechanical insulation requirements for the $131.6 million, 180,000sqft NASCAR Hall of Fame. The final facility includes a Great Hall, a Hall of Honor, interactive entertainment, restaurants, retail outlets and a media center.

Santee Cooper Winyah Steam Generation Plant

Georgetown, SC

Unitherm furnished and installed insulation and lagging for a new Flue Gas Desulfurization Systems for Units 1 and 2 at the Santee Cooper Winyah Station located in Georgetown, SC.

Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia (2009)

West Point, GA

Kia Motors $1 billion automobile assembly and manufacturing facility in West Point, Georgia will assemble 300,000 vehicles annually. Unitherm provided mechanical insulation for a large portion of this plant.

SCE&G Wateree Station (2009)

Eastover, SC

Unitherm was the insulation contractor for a new Flue Gas Desulfurization System at the South Carolina Electric and Gas Company Wateree Station. Wateree generates 700 MW of electricity from two coal-fired boilers. The new system will reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by over 95%.

SCE&G Williams Station (2009)

Goose Creek, SC

South Carolina Electric and Gas Company installed a Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization System to reduce the sulfur dioxide emissions at their Williams Station. Williams is an 650 MW coal-fired power plant in Goose Creek, SC. Unitherm installed ductwork insulation and lagging, and piping heat tracing and insulation for this project.
